Home of the big companies
While Barcelona, and Spain in general, are still in the process of recovering from the crisis, Barcelona is one of the best cities to work in the country. It has a great business tradition and is home to large multinational companies.
Because of its geographical location as a port city, lifestyle and its great public transportation system, many transnational companies have decided to settle here. The financial and logistics sectors are especially important, making Barcelona a great city to look for job opportunities.
In recent years technology companies and start-ups have been strongly attracted to Barcelona’s offerings. As a result, the city is transforming with the Poblenou district, one of the city’s best neighborhoods, into a technology and IT hub. No wonder this city is attracting more and more digital nomads.
International Community
The great cultural diversity is another reason that makes Barcelona a fantastic city for expats. More than 179 different nationalities coexist on the streets of Barcelona. The mix of accents, languages and gastronomic offerings will make you feel a little closer to home.
Most expats who come to Barcelona tend to be young, with an average age of 34. They have formed communities, the largest of which come from Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Italy and China. They are waiting for you with open arms to accompany you during your stay in the city.
Unparalleled climate
For many, climate is a decisive factor when looking for a new city to live in.it is precisely the climate that puts Barcelona among the best options. Forget about long, cold winters with few hours of daylight. Luckily, Barcelona has a warm climate all year round.
While in summer temperatures can be a bit high, in winter it doesn’t usually drop below 8 degrees Celsius. Moreover, it lasts only four months. You can also say goodbye to the umbrella because rain is not a common occurrence in the Catalan capital.
Fascinating art and cultural activities
Barcelona has so much to offer that it’s hard to get bored in the city. In addition to the beaches, it has a lively cultural life and cultural offerings.
The city is full of places to go shopping, world-class museums and art galleries, such as Picasso or Miró. A historic district with medieval heritage, Spain’s most iconic cathedrals and masterful architectural works such as those of Gaudí.
