Its origins date back to Roman times when it served as the city's southern gate, and it still features iconic monuments like the Colonne di San Lorenzo, one of the city's most important historical sites. For centuries, Porta Ticinese has been a hub for merchants and travelers, and today it remains a vibrant center where history intertwines with modern life.
