In addition, stations such as the Al Ghubaiba Bus Terminal and the train station, at Sharaf DG, facilitate local and international travel. The city also has the Jebel Ali Port, although it is only a freight solution. With efficient air connections and advanced ground transportation options, Dubai is positioned as a global city, ensuring an optimal travel experience from various parts of the world.

‍

  • Bus: Buses are another option for getting from Dubai airport to downtown using public transportation. All airport terminals have bus stops. The C01 line operates 24 hours a day, with frequencies of approximately 30 minutes.

  • Metro: The metro is the cheapest option to get from Dubai airport to the city center. You can take the red line from terminal 1 or 3, and in less than 25 minutes you will reach the Burj Khalifa station and the Dubai Mall. Depending on where you are staying, other useful stops are Dubai Marina, Mall of the Emirates, or Union, where you can connect to the green line that goes to the old city. The metro operates from 5:30 to 00:00, except on Fridays, when it starts at 10:00.

  • Taxi: Taking a cab is the fastest way to get from Dubai airport to the city center or to your hotel. From the cab ranks available at any of the 3 terminals, you will reach the city center in about 20 minutes. The cost ranges from 20€ to 40€, depending on your destination within the city.

Leisure in Dubai

‍

What is the nightlife like in Dubai?

‍

When it comes to nightlife, Dubai is one of the most atmospheric cities in the Middle East. However, there are several important things you should know about the city. Alcohol consumption is not allowed for the Muslim population. However, if you are not Muslim, you can consume alcohol in bars and restaurants. However, the minimum age for alcohol consumption is 21 years and if you drink alcohol under this age, you can face a financial fine.

‍

The bars in Dubai usually close at 1 or 2 am, but you can keep the party going in the city's nightclubs, which are usually open until 3 am. In these discotheques you will be able to see people from all over the world. Of course, you have to know that, to enter this type of clubs, you must be 25 years old or older.

‍

We recommend that you move around the downtown area to find the liveliest nightclubs. But, in addition, in Dubai it is also very common to party inside the hotels, so you can also try to go to a party of this type.

‍

  • White Dubai

Located on the rooftop of the Meydan Racecourse Grandstand, it is one of the most famous open-air clubs, known for its stunning views of the city and spectacular parties.

Shopping in Dubai is an excellent leisure option. You should know that, in general, buying clothes in stores known in Europe, such as those of the Inditex group, is cheaper than in some European countries.

‍

In Dubai you can find cheap stores, such as Pull & Bear, Zara or Bershka, and luxury brand stores, such as Versace or Louis Vuitton, all in the same mall.

‍

The best known shopping malls in the city where you can do your shopping are Mall of Emirates, located at metro stop number 32 on the red line, and Dubai Mall, the largest mall in the world, with over 1200 stores, and whose terrace you can enjoy the famous spectacle of water and sound of the city.
